Evvie Rumsey (dancer)

Evvie Rumsey was born in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1969. She attended the North Carolina School of the Arts from 1988-1992 and then danced with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company from 1992-1999. Evvie formed the Glen Rumsey Dance Project in 2004 and has been crafting works in New York City ever since. She has performed for many artists including Fiona Marcotty-Dolenga, Sarah Michelson, Pam Tanowitz, and Todd Williams. She has also frolicked in heels around town as the much celebrated Shasta Cola.
