Daphnis & Chloë (étude) (2019)

Set to excerpts from Maurice Ravel's Daphnis et Chloé composed in 1912 for the Ballets Russes, Daphnis & Chloë (étude) is a dance study of sections for my Daphnis & Chloë made for costumes by Reid & Harriet Design featured in their Guggenheim Works & Process Costume and Dance commission reenvisioning themes from Greek romancer Longus’s 2nd century novel, Dapnhis and Chloë: Story of a Lesbian Romance. The work premièred at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum on April 28th and 29th, 2019.
