Trapèze (or the Misadventure of the Sorcerer's Menagerie) (2008)
Created specifically for a Spiegeltent at Bard College, Trapèze (or the Misadventure of the Sorcerer's Menagerie) is a reimagining of Sergey Prokofiev’s little known circus ballet Trapèze originally choreographed in 1924–25 by Boris Romanov. The work features newly composed music by Gregory Spears interspersed with the original ballet score, costumes by Carol Binion, and lighting by Andrew Hill. The work premièred in the Spiegeltent as part of the Summerscape Series from July 18th-20th, 2008.
